Student Unifrom
Each student entering into the NJROTC program is assigned a Class "C" Uniform, dominantly known as charlies'. Throughout the year(s) cadets are required to wear a uniform at least once a week.
If the cadet fails to do so, he or she is required to make it up. If the requirement is not met it will be result as a missing assignment (M/A) which will recorded in the grade book as a zero.
The cadet will learn how to properly wear and apply insignia and regulated articles to the uniform so a zero would not be an issue to the cadet. Cadets are graded on their overall appearance, hygiene, uniform care, and military knowledge. These scores go towards your military aptitude grade which is included in your final grade. The student will be penalized for any inappropriate alterations or infractions in his or her presentation with a deduction to the cadets uniform grade. If any changes has occurred in the regulation of the uniform the cadets will be notified of such immediately and will not be penalized if the cadet was not aware.
Uniforms are issued to cadets at no cost and are collected at the end of the year unless the cadet is to return to the same school the following year.
